Many of you are no doubt familiar with the ideas circulating that spirits and other paranormal entities consist of some form of energy. Paranormal investigators try to capture this energy using a variety of methods thermal, EMF, video, EVP, etc. Energy as we understand it via thermodynamics today is neither created nor destroyed, radiates from a source, and seeks the path of lowest resistance and the lowest energy state.
Some of the questions surrounding this research are:
Why does this energy remain in certain places over time?
Are certain materials, such as building materials or geological features, more prone to the conservation of this energy?
Is this energy the same type of energy that we encounter in household electronics and appliances, or is it something different entirely?
What role, if any, does the idea of parallel universes (multiverses) play in the possibility of paranormal occurrences?

I wondering if paranormal activity occurs outside of the conventional energies that we are used to encountering, can we capture/quantify it with conventional instrumentation such as those listed above?
Perhaps we should consider a new direction in this field towards proving that certain events could not have occurred via conventional forms of energy that we can explain, hence building a case for a new form or forms of energy?
This is actually not a new way of thinking as many ideas in physics, chemistry, etc. were not derived from direct observations (e.g. quantum physics/thermodynamics), but rather by a process of elimination that allows for the presence of a new form of energy that we can describe as different from those that we currently understand.
Maybe it's not about the energies and forces that we already know about, but rather those that exist between the lines so to speak?
Any thoughts? |
